Yes! She is here and she is doing better!

For those of you who don't know, my brother and his girlfriend, Amanda, had Haylee Jo today at 5:30ish. When she was born she inhaled fluid and was sent to Children's Hospital due to her lung development. Needless to say as of about 11:30pm my brother sounded good and was confident that she would be good too! She needs to hang out there for 48 hours and have some test run!

A couple of years ago when my family was together celebrating Easter my brother asked why we celebrate Easter anyway...my answer to that was the Resurrection of Christ! He kind of shrugged it off and went about his ways. Since then I have prayed and prayed for him to see God and how big he is, was and always will be :) When we pray these things we never know how God will show up. He showed up today, in a big way.

April 22, 2011 started out early...I received a call from my mom at 5:29am that my brother and Amanda were at the hospital and my first niece, Haylee Jo, was on her way! Now, do you think I was able to go back to bed after that...no! But I did pray. I prayed for health, safety and a beautiful baby girl, a new mommy and a new daddy!! I prayed that God would show up in a big way. I believe that He is in control of everything that happens, the good, the bad and the ugly! I also prayed that this baby would somehow make my brother see, feel and need Christ. I asked for God to reveal himself!!

As the day went on I talked and text my mom. Just little updates here and there! Sometime after 4 I was on the phone with mom and she said that since Amanda's labor had stalled they were going to give her some more meds and if there was not any progress with in so long they were going to do a c-section. I knew that was not what Amanda wanted so we prayed. Not too long after that I received a text saying "she is a 10, and pushing". He totally hears us!

At 6:28pm, SHE IS HERE came across my phone!! At 7:29pm I called my mom for an update on Haylee Jo and Amanda. All I could hear were the sobs of my mom on the other end. Haylee Jo was being transported to Children's Hospital because of what I had mentioned earlier. Around 8:00pm I headed to the hospital assuming that Haylee Jo was on her way to Children's. When I got there my parents were in the waiting room and Haylee Jo was being prepared to load up in the ambulance. Bruce and my parents were going to follow the ambulance to the hospital and be with her. Amanda's mom was planning to spend the night at the hospital with her.

I needed to go to Wal-Mart to get somethings for Amanda since Haylee's bag was still at home. Took the items she needed back to the hospital and when I got back in the car I sent a text to my brother telling him he could crash on our couch since he lives about 40 minutes from the hospital where Amanda was staying and over an hour from where Haylee was staying.

Here is our text:

Me:#### is our garage code if you want to crash at our house to night and shower.
B: Ok, thanks for everything
Me: Not a problem. Anytime...I hope you know that.
B: Yes i do
B: Talk to God for Haylee
Me: Been doing it all day...and will forever. Parker, Madison and Lincoln are too. She is super loved by them already.
B: Thanks a lot.
Me: Praying for you too, touch guy! And Amanda, of course.
B: Thank I will talk to you in the morning good night

Pray for him! God is showing up in a huge way! I just hope he puts his hand in God's and starts his walk!

Pray for Haylee Jo, she is adorable, 8lbs. 10oz, and 21 inches long of adorable! So blessed!!

Pray for Amanda! She is in one place and her baby is at another. I can't imagine.

I have included some photos I found on a memory card from when Harrison was in the hospital. He just turned ONE...I cannot believe it :) It is bittersweet for me.

I have a new toy :) I traded some lessons for a Flip Video Camera :) It is so much fun to play with! Our first movie was of Madison to Aunt Kaleigh! Aunt Kaleigh lives in Australia. I am looking forward to uploading lots of video :) I am still waiting to capture Lincoln singing Our God!

I know, I have A LOT of explaining to do....I have been gone FOREVER :( Sorry, I am going to be much better, I promise!
I do have a good excuse, I mean I had another baby :) and we put our house on the market and well that in its self it a LOAD. I will be posting some of the houses that we have looked at an like. The down fall to a lot of these houses is that most all of them are in either a short sale or a foreclosure. A short sale can take up to 4 months to close. And neither of them will accept a contract that is contingent upon the sale of your current home. For now, enjoy these photos of our little soccer player!!! We are looking forward to season #2 with Coach Tom!!

Today was Madison's first day of 2nd grade....where has the time gone? Anyway, she had a great day. When she came home, I asked her how her first day was and she said "Boring...." Too smart for her own good!!

When I dropped her off at school she kissed her brothers bye, got out and then the boys started to cry...."When will Sissy be home?" Poor things they are sooo mean to her when she is home but as soon as she is gone they want her to come right back.

This morning I asked Parker to hold Harrison while I went potty and he quickly agreed and sat on the couch with the boppy....

I put Harrison in the boppy and quickly went and did my thing. As I was coming down the hallway into the living room I heard Parker singing to his brother.....this is the song :)

We are proud to announce the birth of Mr. Harrison Ray Feagans!

He was born on July 3rd at 5:18pm. He weighed in at 9lbs 13oz and is 22in long!

Mommy and Harrison are doing great!

Big Sister, Madison is very excited and Big Brothers, Parker and Lincoln are not sure what to think about all of this!!

35 weeks and 1 day.....

I went to see the doc yesterday :) Dr. Lindsey checked me and I am dilated to 1, but she says that I still have at least 3 weeks to go. I would really like to celebrate the 4th of July without a baby in tow! So anytime after the 4th, bring it on!!! There is still no plan in place, but my doctor is very aware that I want her to be the one to deliver me.

We will just have to wait, a little longer!

Pregnancy Update

So here is the deal, I was at the doctor on May 27th and I saw the midwife/nurse practitioner. She hounded me about the fact that I have not gained any weight in the past 6 weeks. I quickly reassured her that I eat plenty. I have a husband and a whole home team to back that up!! Not to mention I think that I eat ice cream every evening after 8:30pm.

Anyway so while at the doctors office I learned that my doctor is on call the weekend of the 4th of July. Then she is leaving to go out of town. I have never made it to my due date so I am really hoping that she will decide to take the baby on July 5th. We will see. I see the doctor on Monday so I hope to be back with an update :)

It is 10:25 and I am headed to the freezer for some ice cream and strawberries!!

So with our WONDERFUL (insert sarcasm) president that we have in office, I have been kicking around the idea of starting to home school Madison and the boys. I have done some research about homeschooling and I have some close friends that work hard at educating their children everyday. I have also read a lot of blog post of mom's who home school....real moms, who talk about real day to day struggles and the joys that come with this job.

I want your Advice, Guidance and Thoughts.... not really the ones that are against this but I will take what I can get :)

Priceline did it AGAIN....

yep they provided a great room for us at a great rate!!

We stayed at the Country Inn & Suites.

We should have paid o$89.99 for our room but going through priceline and doing the "name your price" deal was much more affordable! We paid $55.00 for the evening...and a huge breakfast the next morning. If we would have gone out for breakfast our family of 5 could have easily have spent ave $30.00 for breakfast.

Thanks Priceline, you did it yet again!

Freakin' OUT....Mommies with Cents to the Resuce!

So I am going to have 4 children....I think it is just setting in. Well, it really sat in today at the grocery store as I saw a mother and her 4 children (all under that age of umm... 4 (I think)) try to accomplish shopping. I felt bad for the lady. I could hear her children on 3-4 isles over and her yelling over them.

Now, I know that my children would NEVER do that (HA), but I am trying to figure out what to do with the new baby when shopping. Parker walks, and I must praise him for what a fine job he did today at the store. He walked and helped and I only told him a few times that he was getting a little too far ahead. Lincoln rides in the top buggy part and holds the list and draws on it. Do you really think I can let both boys walk....I would come home with unheard of things....and lots of them.

So I have been doing some research and during my research I found a giveaway for a sling. Now I have thought about the sling many time and I think that it could work. So I am posting about her give away so I can get my name in the "hat" twice and to get some feedback. Have you used a sling? Did you like it? What are the pros and cons? PLEASE HELP....I want to return to public again one day...soon :)

Lincoln Jay, Today you are TWO. I cannot believe it. You love to throw the football with your dad (and wear a baseball glove when you do this), your most used saying is "I wanch (want) you", you love to help cook and clean and make messes and watch Jonah. You are saying 6-7 word sentences. WOW!! You are busy and love to do everything that your brother does. You ALWAYS want to know about Papa's Trailer. When you run you punch your arm out in front of you, it is really funny!! We love you and cannot believe that you are two!!

Update from Colorado and Merry Christmas

Yes, we are in Colorado for Christmas this year!! Madison and Parker got letters from Santa...He knows that we are in Colorado. Yeppee!!

Our Christmas Cards have been sent out announcing some very important information the Feagans Family is holding. Check out the card below for our announcement!!!

Yes, our card announces the upcoming birth of baby #4. I am due July 13th. I have an August baby so this should not be too bad :) As of right now I am feeling extremely exhausted, and I have been much more sick with this pregnancy. I am looking forward to the 2nd trimester so I am feeling better. As with 2 out of the 3 other children we will not be finding out what the gender of this baby will be but I am already feeling like this one is a girl.

We must be sensitive to the little ears in our family when talking about what we "think" we are having. I was nearly 99.9% sure that Lincoln was a girl, and we expressed this to everyone. Needless to say I think Madison was brokenhearted when she found out he was a BOY.

I will be posting photos of our vacation in the days to come!! Check back......

Where Have I Been?

Well, I have been to the doctor, a bunch.....for the kids and me. It seems that we had a virus going through our home. It did not start just after Halloween, no that was just me being lazy and not posting.

A little family update:

Daniel: We are thanking God daily that he still has a job since there were some lay off's that recently happened at his company. He is still running 3 out of town jobs. Luckily he has not been out of town for them too much. Just day trips here and there.

Me: I have been making bows and binkie cords. I plan to see the bows and the binkie cords and give the profit to our church building fund. I have taken the winter off from lessons. My mom is still watching the boys on Mondays and I get a break to do Mommy stuff and help out in Madison's 1st grade class.

Madison: She is loving 1st grade. She has been having spelling test now for some time and I don't think she has missed one word...GO MADISON!! She is very excited for Santa to come. She is getting taller and more beautiful by the day :)

Parker: Parker is finishing up his last week of school and I am sure that he will be upset when he doesn't get to go. He wants to be just like Sissy. He has taken the roll of "Big Brother" to a whole new level. He is a protector of his little brother and helps him through out the day, making sure that he gets pushed in at the table, helping Lincoln find his shoes, playing with him and calling him his "Buddy." It is priceless to see them together.

Lincoln: He is growing up sooo fast! He is saying 3-4 word sentences. He is a lover. He wants to be with his brother ALL the time. Lincoln is very busy and he is starting to talk and explain things like Parker does. It is so funny to hear them talking to each other. They have their own little "talk" it is like listening to 2 old men tell stories!!

With Thanksgiving just passed and Christmas around the corner we are such a blessed family. We have the greatest families and friends a family could ask for :)

Since I have been sooo lazy, Merry Christmas if I don't get back on here to blog :)

The weather here in Missouri is CRAZY, our Halloween night is usually rainy and cold, they year Parker didn't wear the hood of his costume most of the night because he was so hot. True fall weather will not be back until Thursday or Friday of this week.

I am done getting hit by careless drivers please avoid my van...... Thanks!!

Yes, I have been in 2 car accidents in the past 2 weeks. They have all been THEIR fault.

Last week, a man(of course I had to point this out) hit my parked van when he was backing into a NON parking spot. I was not sitting in my car and he didn't look like he cared until I started walking his way. Then he grabbed his cell phone and said I am calling the police. I told him to just hold his horses and let me look at the damage before we call the police, fire department and ambulance because your your carelessness...... Really, there was no damage but next time watch out......

Yesterday, I was the middle car in the accident. From the front their was a blue car (I knew the passengers, how crazy is that?), MY CAR, a black VW and a RED car who was flying thought the intersection to make the red light. The car was stopped in front of me because they were waiting for another car to turn into Starbucks (I knew there was a reason I didn't care for Starbucks). They could not turn because of a semi trying to get out of the parking lot.

So please watch out..... :)

With little time in the morning and no desire to pack Madison's lunch the night before I had to come up with a way to help me have more time in the morning to get 3 kids ready and out the door.

So this is what I do....

1. Make the

This allows me to just grab them and throw them in her sack lunch. It also helps the environment by not using a bunch of baggies. I use these reusable containers for everything in her lunch. You can also use them for pudding, applesauce, dividing a big bag of fruit snacks....the list goes on and on! Enjoy!

Potty?!?

Today I did it.....I bought my first cloth diaper. We are thinking about the change for L-Train.

I put it on him after I got home today. At first he squatted down and then looked at me like I was crazy that I put that thing on him.

Later in the evening I gave him a bath and put him back into a disposal diaper. I did not put any jammies on him since I was calling the others in for baths and I knew he would be in the bathroom getting wet.

Later in the evening (still unclothed) I hear grunting in the back of the house. Not such a big deal when Madison's door is closed but I saw it open so I thought he was in her room getting into something he should not be in. As I am walking down the hall I hear the sound and the word "potty" coming from our room.

Lincoln had pulled off his diaper and was sitting on the potty!!!

Now this would be a wonderful post IF I could also report that he did something in the potty....but it looked like this.....

So does pulling his diaper off and sitting on the potty mean that we can start training? Parker was just weeks over 2 when he was potty trained. Maybe the cloth diapers are a good choice for him right now :)

Big Cedar Lodge

We went on a little family vacation before Madison had to head back to school.

I was at Bass Pro not too long ago and I was approached by an employee that wanted to sell me a weekend at Big Cedar Lodge for $49. WOW, a weekend in a hotel and access to BCL for a whole weekend. That was a deal :)

However, for this family of 5 to get all packed up and spend a weekend somewhere it has to be more than 2 days if we are driving over 4 hours.

So that being said he had a bigger offer (of course) 3 nights/4 days, sounds good right....it was a BLAST!

We paid $249 for this package. Oh and the catch.....we had to sit and go through a membership deal.....I was really surprised that there was not more pressure to buy. We said "NO" and we took the $200 in Big Cedar Bucks and we ran out the door!

So we ended up paying $49 for the extended time.

Last Day

Today was our last day at the beach. We packed up the canopy and chairs and brought them back to the condo.

This week while on vacation, Madison and Parker have been sleeping in the same bed. At home they get mad because we don't let them sleep together very often and now that they have to they fight about it....

Madison: MOM, Parker is on my pillow.

Me: Parker, PLEASE get off your sisters pillow.

Parker: OK Mom.

6.5 minutes later......

Madison: He is on it again......

WELL, WELL, Miss. Madison is GUILTY about sleeping on Parker's pillow......

Today we went on a Dolphin Cruise. I don't think the boys got too much out of it other than the fact that they were on a boat and the wind was in their face! Sadly below is the best photo I got while on the cruise.

Well, we are having a BLAST on vacation! It is great to be here with only our family! The kids are having tons of fun too! Today we went to the beach in the morning and this evening we went to see some alligators. I forgot my camera for that one but we did have fun! Tomorrow we are going on a dolphin cruise! Can't wait!

Our family was involved with the PAT (Parents As Teachers) program through our school district and well we had 1 lady that came to our home and she ended up being a pain....and so we got a different lady and she ended up accusing me of some pretty awful stuff....so there for I am going private with this blog. We loved that program so if you are a reader of this blog and you are in the program I would really reconsider the person that you are letting come into your home.....they may be talking about you behind your back ;)

I may open a public blog later but I am still not sure about that. Our children's privacy is important too :)

About the Miles Video

The Miles Video is the video at the top of my blog that is of the little boy preforming the ISR skills to survive! I found this on the ISR website and thought I would share it!

Many of you who have seen the video segment on YOUTUBE or various blogs on the internet, have asked about the 11 month baby who, along with his father and the family dog, are in the videoclip. The baby had 3 weeks of ISR lessons prior to having his simulated self rescue while fully clothed skills videotaped. It is a re-enacted drowning scenario that happened to a family whose baby was not skilled and therefore drowned. In the scene we taped, both his mother and father were present at the taping along with several other adults and his ISR Instructor. As part of ISR lessons, parents are involved in the water once their baby is skilled, for at-home practice only and you see that they have practiced at home the end of the clip, when his father picks him up.
The video was scripted and shot to be part of the Pediatric Grand Rounds presentations Dr. Barnett uses at major children's hospitals throughout the United States to educate the health care professionals as part of their continuing medical education. In its unedited form, it can be viewed in the Pediatric Grand Rounds presentation from the University of Arizona Tucson Medical Center's webcast of that event. Please realize that this is a presentation for medical doctors, nurses and others who deal with the aftermath of medical emergencies such as drowning and near-drowning, so there are graphic portions that are not suitable viewing for anyone of a sensitive nature. Since the number one question that physicians attending Grand Rounds ask is, "how long can a skilled baby maintain himself independently in the water?", we answered the question in the video with a 5 minute float. In the segment they see, they can view all 5 minutes of the sustained back float. 5 minutes is of special significance for the physicians since they know that the chances of fully recovering a child who has been without air for that long is very remote.
Today as a 4 year old, this little boy is a tremendous swimmer. He swims most everyday in the backyard pool or at an aquatic center but he really prefers the Ocean. To say that he loves the water is an understatement. He is an accomplished snorkeler and can safely dive down 15 feet to see the fish he is learning to identify. His obvious comfort level in the water is the result of his early ISR lessons, he will never remember a time when he was not very skilled in the water. He already shows great respect for the water and his skills since he asks an adult for permission to go into the water. BECAUSE he is so very skilled in the water, he is closely supervised.

Washington State Park is where the Feagans 5ive celebrated Father's Day! Yeppers, we went camping. It was Lincoln's first time and he did pretty good.

All Parker wanted to do was to play in the tunnel. That is what he called the tent.
"Hey Dad, Can I just play in the tunnel?"

Madison was all about the smores; she is just like me in some ways!!

The weather was great!

For Mother's Day this year my family got me a new "little" camera. The reason I say little is because I also have a Canon 20D. I needed a new one because Parker decided it would be fun to push in the zoom lens on my "little" old camera and it broke. Below I have posted a photo I took with my new little camera! If that is how you are feeling since I have not blogged in FOREVER I am sorry. I have been super busy finishing up my ISR training and redoing our back yard.....yeah I hate yard work unless it is beautiful out there. And we have been blessed with 65*-75* weather.

As for me and the family, we are all still here we have just been super busy.....Hope you all are doing GREAT!!!!!

Please pay attention to the below statistics that are in RED text. I am sorry that you feel the way you do about the decision that my husband and I have made to put our children in this program. We know that we cannot protect our children from everything. But what we cannot protect them from we must prepare them for....that my friend is drowning. I welcome you or anyone else who comes to this blog to ask questions, contact me with concerns or if you would like to just simply comment on things I welcome you to do that too.

Currently I am in my 5th and final week of training to become an instructor and I could not be more happy to help safe guard children from this NASTY, NASTY killer.

• Drowning is the leading cause of death for infants and young children in 18 states and, nationally, ranks 2nd only to automobile accidents, claiming lives of approximately 4,000 children each year and leaving another 12,000 with some form of permanent brain damage.

• Of all preschoolers who drown, 70 percent are in the care of one or both parents at the time of the drowning and 75 percent are missing from sight for five minutes or less. (Orange County, CA, Fire Authority)

• The majority of children who survive (92 percent) are discovered within two minutes following submersion (Branche 1999), fatal drowning remains the second leading cause of unintentional injury-related death for children ages 1 to 14 years (CDC 2005).

• Minorities: Between 2000 and 2004, the fatal unintentional drowning rate for African Americans overall was 1.3 times that of whites. However, in certain age groups it was even higher. For example, the fatal unintentional drowning rate for 5-14 year old African Americans was 3.2 times higher than that for whites.

• In 2000, there were 3,482 unintentional drownings in the United States, an average of nine people per day. (U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)

Last night when we got home from the park our neighbor Alyssa was outside and she came over to see the kids....this is something that her and her sister do every-once-in-awhile :) so it was nothing out of the norm!

Well, Parker was talking to her and when he talks he totally is a hands talker....I think it is how he builds his story....anyways......he is talking to Alyssa and all of a sudden he says...

"Wanna see my weed-eater?"

Wow...it has been awhile!

I will just give you a little run down of our fast paced lives...

Daniel: Daniel just finished up his second season playing indoor flag football. In his last game he scored a touchdown! YAY!! Go Daniel! They were playing in the play offs and lost by 6 points...what a bummer. But over all they did a great job! His company just got a huge deal in St. Charles off of 70 & 5th street (I think). It was where the old Noah's Ark Hotel was. They are going to be putting in a huge retail development along with some multi-family housing! I am hoping that he will be the PM on the job so he will be close to home! And we can just zip down the street to have lunch together.

Madison: Madison has been on Spring Break this past week and she just told me today "Can we skip Sunday so I can go back to school?" What am I going to do this summer....poor thing :) We are just glad that she likes school as much as she does! She is still in dance and has been practicing for her recital that will be in June. She is still a great big Sis and Grandma's Little Helper. (Speaking of) She spent the night with my mom this week and my mom asked her if she wanted to get money from Grandpa and go garage selling or work on getting stuff together for their garage sale and guess what she picked.......she wanted to help Grandma!

Parker: Parker is getting ready to go back to school. It will be starting on Tuesday! I know he will be excited to be with kids his age! And I will get to hang out with some adults and have some adult convo. which is always a plus! He has graduated from swimming and is now sad that he does not get to swim with Chuck.

Lincoln: He has really been a mess lately.....he was on meds for a sinus infection and he didn't get over ti so he is back on them. And I think he has some teeth coming in. He was up last night and is having trouble so far tonight...poor guy! On a happy note: Watch this!

Me: Well, I have been busy with ISR training. That is really ALL I have been up to! But I am looking forward to the Home Opener on Monday for the CARDS!!! Daniel's company is giving away 2 tickets that day for the game....so we still have a little chance to go!

Swimming Update

Wednesday Parker got to swim in summer cloths (sandals, shorts and a t-shirt). Chuck did this because you never know when a child may fall into the pool. Today he will be swimming in pants and a long sleeve shirt with tennis shoes. Below I have added a video of Lincoln. Lincoln will still be in the program for a little while longer.

Training is very intense. I am in my 3rd week. I will have a week off while Chuck is at training in Florida. I should start training my own kids in May.

When Madison was reminding me every 2 hours that Monday was St. Patricks Day I finally told her that we would get her a shirt from Old Navy. They are usually very cute and only $5.00. Sounds cheep enough right :)

Well, I decided that I would just make her a shirt...

So Madison and I had some "Girl Time" as she called it and we did the Wal-Marting and Shop-N-Saving. While at Wal-Mart I picked up white shirt for her, green paint and sponges....and this is what I came up with!!

So I just thought of something that I should add as #11 to my par-T.....I have slight OCD when it comes to the way toilet paper is put on the holder....

Do you see how this paper comes over the top to be dispensed? Well, that is how I ALWAYS put it on...and (I oh so hate to admit this) if I am at your house and yours is the opposite way...I will fix it for you.....but only if I think I will be going back in there to potty.

WOW...I feel so much better getting that off my chest!!!

On another toilet note....

What is wrong with this photo? Do you ever see a man cleaning the toilet? Probably not unless he lives in a fraternity house. Ladies and Gents...my husband cleaned the toilet last night...he doesn't usually do this unless I am pregnant. Thanks Babe!! You are the best!!

Welcome to Feagans 5ive! Look around...

This is my first party and I was a little worried about what shoes to wear since my daily shoe attire consist mostly of crocs! Gotta love those crocs!!

Here is a little about me! I am 25, I have 3 blue eyed, beautiful children! All given to my by the man of my life! DJF! We also have a dog, Belle! You can see photos of each of my children on the right hand column of this little blog!

10 things about our family!

ONE: I am currently training to be an instructor for the best aquatic program out there!!

TWO: I don't like to get out of bed....usually the kids end up in my bed before we all go get breakfast!

THREE: My husband and I have a small obsession for Survivor.

FOUR: I think my youngest child, Lincoln will be a class clown.

FIVE: We love to take vacations!

SIX: My husband was born in Colorado Springs, CO. I was born in Pampa, TX. How did we meet in Steelville, MO? On a float trip, of course!

SEVEN: My youngest baby weighed over 10 lbs.

EIGHT: I NEVER thought I would be a blogger....then I met Rachel.

NINE: I love photography.

TEN: I have the best husband....he supports me in pretty much EVERYTHING I want to do!!

Today it is a soaring 40* out side....so I sent Parker out to play and get some fresh air!! As he went out the door I started on lunch only to find **Guess Who** right behind me...it was Parker....telling me that he went potty in his pants. So we pulled off the wet pants and I told him to go put them down the hole (our laundry shoot). Time passed and I finally yelled "Come on Parker-Man get your pants on so you can go outside and play!!!" Well out of our room running he came with a mouth full of.....you guess and I will let you know tomorrow!! Here is what I saw...please don't look at the mess coming from his nose...

Nearly One Week Down...

Well, tomorrow will complete my first week of training! It is so exciting and so difficult at the same time. I am so excited to be a part of the finest aquatic survival program....but this training stuff is really emotional. It is AMAZING to see how proud some of these kids are of them selves! They know what they are doing!

On another note....Madison missed her first day of school today. She was up all night last night coughing and throwing up from coughing. Poor thing. I must not have heard her because Daniel got up with her. He took her temperature at 4am and it was 102.7*.

He gave her Tylenol and about 20 minutes later she came in our room and told Daniel that her neck was sweating.

What can I say she takes after her daddy.

This morning when I got up she was still sleeping and continued to do so until 8:00. She pretty much laid down on the couch all morning and ate a little soup for lunch. Madison fell asleep in our bed for a nap and at that point I had to go train and take the boys to swimming. I hope she is feeling better by morning because she has a birthday party to go to.

Lincoln was at the doctor on Tuesday and they gave him some meds for a sinus infection....lets just hope that no one else gets the 24 hour bug that Miss. Madison has!!

In God We (I) Trust

Well, I have been reading a blog that has started Miracle Monday. And although there are many (I can think of 3 to start with) miracles that have happened in my life, there is one really big one going on right now!!!

I have been holding out on the news of me being accepted in to the Infant Swimming Resource Program (ISR). I am very, oh so very excited!!!! I first learned about this program because Lorelai was enrolled in it and I went to see one of her lessons. After that I was in shock about the fact that a child could really save their life if they fell into the water.

So after talking to Daniel and praying about it.....I gave it all to God. Now it is very easy to say that but to actually do it....not so easy. I prayed. I prayed more. And I prayed some more. I didn't worry about it....because I prayed to God and let him know exactly what I wanted to do and told him that it was ALL in his hands....from there (believe it or not) I didn't worry. I seriously didn't worry one second. If this was Ultimate Plan that God has for me well then....He would make it happen and if not I knew that He would have something else "up his sleeve" for me.

I sent in my letter of intent, resume, and the list of questions that I had to answer and waited for the next step. I thought the next step was going to be a series of phone interviews but it was only one. I was very nervous about the interview. But as it turns out....it was more of a lets get to know each other conversation and she threw in several questions along the way :)

I then got the APPROVAL!!!!!

Praises to God!!!!

After that I had to send in my signed agreement and my tuition! I then had to wait for the links for my online training guide....I still remember when I got it....Daniel was at his football game, and the kids were sleeping. When I got it....I cried.....seriously.....tears flowed from my eyes. The feeling I felt was so incredibly awesome. I knew that God was behind me all the way. I will be saving HIS children if they fall into the water. GOD made this possible. I believe it 100%, no questions asked.

I will be starting training tomorrow! Please pray for my mom, as she will be caring for the kids during the training!! Pray for my kids so that they don't drive her crazy!!

NOW: I challenge you....give something 100% to God and DO NOT worry about it....the feeling you will feel is more that you can describe.

Swim Team

Well, tonight was Madison's last lesson with Chuck....she was only in the program for about 1.5 weeks. Today Chuck talked to me about getting her onto a swim team that will work on stroke development with her! She is very excited!!! So I will be contacting the Rec Plex to find out about their swim team!!! How exciting!! We are so very proud of her!! Congratulations Madison!!!

Moment of Inspiration

Back at Christmas time my mom got me my very won sewing machine! Probably because she was tired of me borrowing hers :)

Well, I was on eBay and I bought a Rag Quilt blanket pattern. I love this little pattern....it has got to be the easiest thing to make EVER! The first one I made was for some friends of ours....they are due in April with baby #1! How exciting for them!

And back when Rachel was in town she made Lincoln a taggie blanket! And he loves it! So I thought I would combine the two ideas and make a Raggie Taggie Blanket! Below are some photos of my "Moment of Inspiration"!!!

And this is a corner with the taggies!

P.S. Don't get used to these moments of inspiration....the are few and far between!!

Memory Monday

I remember one Easter my mom (above) making this super cool Bunny Cake for Easter. It was of a Bunny face :) It was covered in coconut for "fur" and I remember the wiskers were made out of licorice . I think the eyes were made out of jelly beans or maybe gum drops....it was very cute and probably pretty yummy too!!
